Testimonials

“After having my daughter in lockdown I felt there was a lack of support and help everywhere I turned. I had a very long journey to get my little girl so my anxiety was very high and this just made things worse as I felt very alone. Emma was such an amazing support to me and even over the phone she reassured me and massively helped me with my breast feeding journey and emotions to know it was ok to feel how I was feeling and I wasn’t alone. She really helped me relax into breastfeeding so I could enjoy the experience. I cannot recommend Emma enough, she has got such a kind and caring way and instantly made me feel at ease”

“My husband and I had a very relaxed, informative meeting with Emma. She got us thinking about what to expect after the birth of our baby girl and put some practical plans in place. Exactly the support we needed as first time parents and could not recommend highly enough”

“Emma provided some great day and night support for us during a difficult time. We have a six week old baby and Emma was really caring with her (and us!), calm and patient. She brought a positive energy with her too which really helped. We would totally recommend her to others.”

I recently contacted Emma in regard to her Doula services and whilst she was unable to support due to her availability, she was incredibly helpful putting me in touch with other Doula’s in the area with the experience I was after. Bowled over by her willingness to help along with her response times. Whilst it didn’t work out on this occasion, on these interactions alone I would recommend Emma. Clearly a very professional and helpful Doula - both qualities I am looking for. Thank you for your help Emma!

Loved her, got on really well and exactly what I needed. Great at listening, great initiative, down to earth, she was our angel.

Lovely to have that constant presence and having her checking in all the time. Felt like I had a friend, very professional, really perceptive, knew what needed doing.

Whilst working with us postnatally Emma supported me learning to breastfeed, was a shoulder to cry on during a particularly emotional day, helped with practical household chores, looked after our newborn so I could take a bath and have some precious me time and made numerous cups of tea! She is kind, non-judgemental, knowledgeable about the postpartum period and the sort of person you want around in those full-on early days.

From the perspective of an expat with a limited support network for the birth of my first baby, and for the recovery journey thereafter, I have greatly appreciated Emma’s help. She has a calming and caring attitude which helped me build the confidence that I can do this. You need that as a first time mum because chances are you might be freaking out while trying to understand your baby’s needs. She’s super helpful to bounce off ideas about care for the baby (‘when in doubt, discuss with Emma’ was my approach) and a great eye for what needs doing around the house when I was not able to. She’s very patient, fun to talk to and professional. Highly recommended!

Birth testimonial:

Emma was a reassuring presence at my birth. She helped with both the practical elements: filling the pool and creating the ambience, and also the more caring ones: making sure I was as comfortable as possible. I also really appreciated having someone I could call/WhatsApp prior to the birth. She fully understood our birth preferences and talking them through with her made me feel heard and empowered, leading to a very smooth and positive birth experience.
